Mediocre adventure
"
The prime rib was no more than 1/4" thick and pretty raw.We got to our room, showered and prepared for our first dinner in the dining room as all we could talk about was prime rib and lobster.

Older ship with lots to do. Great customer service, super cruise staff, attention to details. Menus have changed but food is excellent with variety of choices.Quick turn around in restaurants Shows were terrific with "Grease" being the highlight of the cruise. Although the ship was full and filled with children, crying babies and lots of young people there were ways in which to avoid the crowds on

I would have given this cruise 5 dots buttttt, mid way through cruise the ship was holding a great sale on what I was to be very good silver at a per inch price so I took advantage of it. Come to find out when we got home, the silver took advantage of me by turning a copper color that can not be cleaned off! Highly disappointing. So when the ship offers something that good just walk on by. On a

Feeling Cuts to Pay $11 Billion Pandemic Bond Debt
Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Independence of the Seas

Cruise #6 with RCI since 2012. Cost cutting to pay the $11B in pandemic bond debt has really hurt the experience. Food quality and options have declined. Service is hit or miss, with MDR and Windjammer service noticeably worse. Nickel and Diming ($20-ing and $40-ing) for things that aren't worth paying for (e.g. $35 for the escape room, $2 to play skee ball for 30 seconds) -- even the teenagers

After exclusively sailing on Oasis Class ships for the previous 10 years I was concerned about going down to Freedom Class with a sailing on Independence. A quick look at the recent reviews here further confirmed that this would be the worst vacation of my life…I’m very pleased to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise and would absolutely sail on the Independence of the Seas again! Perhaps

I am Diamond with RCCL and have enjoyed many cruises with them and other Lines. My cruise with Independence of the Seas was uneventful in that everything was pretty much what I have come to expect and enjoy with RCCL. here are some thoughts:High lights the assistant cruise director from the Philippines was hilarious and ran the game and contests in an outstanding fashion - we has a show

We were part of the Cleveland Browns Fan Cruise Group on this cruise. We chose a Junior Suite on Deck 10 and were very pleased with it.CABIN: A PositivesOur steward, JR, was very funny and quite accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony for breakfast three of the five mornings. There was more than enough space to store all of our items. It's old. It's small. It's trying to copy the big ships but fails. And therefore it's so crowded everywhere that's popular! Deck 5 -Promenade- is at least 2/3 smaller than bug ships. I (I chose it because the big ships are just too hard for me to explore due to a recent disability) . But people congregate and it gets too crowded to move! Music however was great! The pools...a hard skip unless

We haven't sailed with Royal in almost 20 years and have been on 6 Carnival cruises in between those times. We had a very good time to say the least.Miami was our port and we got thru security and onto the ship within 30 mins but I could see it taking an hour or more easily. The ship was laid out better than most of Carnivals ships, and its really easy to navigate. It felt more grand than

This is the first time I have ever had a miserable cruise on RCL and had to really complain about what happen this past week. We had issues with cabin and the casino.Day 1 Everything was awesome like every cruise I take on Rcl. I was in Junior Suite arrived about 130pm went directly to the room to put our luggage up then explore the ship. I was going on this cruise with my best friend whose

We booked this sort of last minute on a Black Friday special and got a great deal. For a ship & itinerary selected primarily on departure date, we were both surprised and pleased how nice the experience was. This ship is large enough to have a variety of activities and amenities, but not so huge to be able to get around. It is a bit older, and shows in some spots but most areas look nice. Very
